Perasa Kaewareeluck

B.2001

Thailand

Perasa Kaewareeluck is a contemporary Thai artist whose practice explores the relationship between memory, civilization, and renewal through poetic dialogues between architecture and nature. Her paintings investigate how traces of the past continue to shape the present, revealing that growth does not emerge from emptiness but from the enduring presence of cultural memory.

Drawing upon classical architectural forms, monumental ruins, and botanical imagery, Kaewareeluck constructs symbolic landscapes where flowers expand beyond their natural scale and intertwine with structures that embody human history. Rather than depicting decay, her works propose a continuous cycle of transformation in which nature reclaims, reinterprets, and ultimately revitalises the remnants of civilization.

At the heart of her practice lies a meditation on time and continuity. Architecture functions as a repository of collective memory, while blooming flowers become symbols of resilience, regeneration, and the quiet persistence of life. Together they create visual metaphors that dissolve the perceived opposition between permanence and impermanence, suggesting that every ending contains the possibility of renewal.

Balancing refined technical precision with a contemplative visual language, Kaewareeluck creates paintings that transcend representation to become reflections on cultural inheritance and the evolving relationship between humanity and nature. Her work proposes that the future is never detached from the past, but continuously blossoms from the memories that remain.
