PRATEEP KOCHABUA (b. 1962)
Prateep
Kochabua is a leading figure in Thai surrealist painting. Combining meticulous
realism with fantasy, mythology, nature, and Buddhist thought, he constructs
dreamlike worlds in which human beings, animals, and symbolic forms merge
beyond the boundaries of ordinary experience.
He
participated in the group exhibition Bare at Number 1 Gallery in 2008.

ประทีป คชบัว เป็นศิลปินคนสำคัญของจิตรกรรมเหนือจริงในประเทศไทย เขาผสมผสานทักษะการเขียนภาพอย่างสมจริงเข้ากับจินตนาการ ตำนาน ธรรมชาติ และแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนา ก่อเกิดเป็นโลกคล้ายความฝันที่มนุษย์ สัตว์ และรูปทรงเชิงสัญลักษณ์หลอมรวมกันเหนือขอบเขตของความเป็นจริง
เขาเคยร่วมแสดงในนิทรรศการกลุ่ม Bare ที่ Number 1
