“Happy Syndrome” the 4th solo exhibition of the artist Prawit Lumcharoen is a continued exhibition from “Sick Boy” in 2018. This time the artist has an interest in the mental disorder, physical, and heredity of a child expressed by the twisted facial expression, an unusual happy laugh combined with the face of a child character that resembles the artist himself. The artist chose the synthetic color tones and drawing technique to replicate the skin by using aluminum and metal foil to give a shiny feeling and as well as the various wrinkles which is the signature style of the artist. In today’s society, we’re currently facing the issue of both mental and physical illness more and more everyday from the environmental problems, dust, air pollution,  economics, war, and many more which affected the way of our lives. The artist presented this through the picture of a child with a smile but instead objected to the situation. 

This can be seen in the work “Smile”, the image of the face twisting the smile with the eyes that do not look like what we’ve seen in the general faces. This is like an internal error that is caused by genetics and heredity. The picture “A fun snow scene before it melts” was inspired by the issue of global warming thatis getting more crucial everyday. The artist minic the satiric situation of global warming with the picture of a child playing with his rubber dinosaur in a snow covered environment before itcompletely melts.There are other works which the artist picks up and simulating various situations to reflect the situations of the world that is currently sick under the exhibition named “Happy Syndrome”

Prawit Lumcharoen, the artist from Surat Thani province graduated bachelor’s degree from Rajamangala Rattanakosin from the faculty of Art and a master’s degree from Silpakorn University from the faculty of Art as well. The artist has been awarded in my awards such as Special Prize  Youth Level aged 14-17, 19th Art contest, Honorable mention on Poster color contest, Consolation  prize on the 3rd Thaksin Youth Art, Special Prize on the 24th Toshiba awards, and many more.He was also the part of many exhibition on an international level such as Art Stage Singapore 2018 by Number 1 Gallery, Malaysia Art Expo in the latest year of 2018 and 2019.

“Happy syndrome ป่วย การณ์” นิทรรศการเดี่ยว ครั้งที่ 4  โดยประวิทย์ ล้ำเจริญ สืบเนื่องต่อจากนิทรรศการครั้งก่อนหน้านี้ “Sick Boy เด็กห่วย” เมื่อปี 2018 ครั้งนี้ศิลปินมีความสนใจ ในอาการบกพร่องทางทั้งจิตใจ กายภาพและทางพันธุกรรมของเด็ก แสดงออกทางสีหน้าที่บิดเบี้ยว รอยยิ้ม หัวเราะที่ดูมีความสุขอย่างผิดปกติ ผสมผสานกับใบหน้าของคาแรคเตอร์เด็กที่คล้ายกับตัวศิลปินเอง ศิลปินเลือกใช้โทนสีสังเคราะห์ และเทคนิคการวาดแทนที่ผิวเนื้อหนังด้วย อลูมิเนียม ฟรอยด์ โลหะ ให้ความรู้สึกมันวาว รวมถึงรอยยับต่างๆ ซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวของศิลปิน 

สังคมเมืองในปัจจุบัน การประสบปัญหาอาการป่วยทั้งจิตใจและร่างกายทวีคูณมากขึ้น จากปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ฝุ่น มลพิษทางอากาศ เศรษฐิจการเมือง สงคราม ฯลฯ ส่งผลต่อรูปแบบการใช้ชีวิตของมนุษย์ โดยศิลปินนำเสนอผ่านภาพเด็กที่มีรอยยิ้ม หากแต่ย้อนแย้งกันในสถานการณ์ เห็นได้จากภาพชิ้นงาน "Smile" ภาพใบหน้าที่กำลังยิ้มอย่างบิดเบี้ยวกับสายตาที่ไม่ถูกหลักตามความจริงของใบหน้าทั่วไป เปรียบเหมือนความผิดพลาด (Error) ที่เกิดจากพันธุกรรมของระบบภายใน หรือภาพ“ฉากเล่นก่อนหิมะละลาย” ด้วยปัญหาโลกร้อนยิ่งทวีคูณความรุนแรงมากขึ้นในปัจจุบัน ศิลปินจึงได้จำลองเหตุการณ์เสียดสี ล้อเลียน เรื่องภาวะโลกร้อน ด้วยภาพของเด็กที่กำลังเล่น หุ่นยางไดโนเสาร์ ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่ปกคลุมไปด้วยหิมะ ก่อนจะละลายหายไปจนหมด และยังมีภาพผลงานชิ้นอื่นๆ ที่ศิลปินหยิบยกจำลองภาพสถานการณ์ต่างๆ เพื่อสะท้อนถึงสถานการณ์ของโลกที่กำลังป่วย  ภายใต้ชื่อนิทรรศการ “Happy Syndrome ป่วย การณ์”

ประวิทย์  ล้ำเจริญ ศิลปินจากจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี จบการศึกษาปริญญาศิลปบัณฑิต สาขาจิตรกรรม จากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์ วิทยาลัยเพาะช่าง และปริญญาศิลปมหาบัณฑิต สาขาจิตรกรรม บัณฑิตวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ศิลปินได้รับรางวัลต่างๆ อาทิเช่น รางวัลพิเศษ ระดับเยาวชน 14-17 ปี ศิลปกรรม ครั้งที่ 19, รางวัลชมเชย การประกวดโปสเตอร์  ข้าวคือชีวิต, รางวัลชมเชยศิลปกรรมเยาวชนทักษิณ ครั้งที่ 3, รางวัลดีเด่น ศิลปกรรมเยาวชนทักษิณ ครั้งที่ 5, รางวัลพิเศษ การประกวดศิลปกรรมโตชิบา ครั้งที่ 24, รางวัลยอดเยี่ยมอันดับ 2 การประกวดจิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย พานาโซนิค ครั้งที่ 15  ทุนสนับสนุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะ มูลนิธิรัฐบุรุษ พลเอกเปรม 
ติณสูลานนนท์  ได้เข้ารวมแสดงผลงานในเวทีต่างประเทศมากมายไม่ว่าจะเป็น Art Stage Singapore 2018 by Number 1 Gallery, Malaysia art expo ปี 2018และ ปี 2019 ที่ผ่านมา
