“Nature As Enlightenment” the exhibition by Surachai Donprasri, an artist who presents sculpture arts with the story of nature and the advantages that human has consistently taken from it. All types of natural resources are part of the aesthetic environment and it is the pure beauty that a man can’t deny; meanwhile human has become a destroyer. We neglect and depreciate the important resources on this earth.

Every single leaves, flowers and trees are all characteristic including its scents and the shapes are individually different. The unpredictable beauty of nature is miraculous, like wise it can deeply amaze a man’s eyes. Yet, the beauty of nature is truly natural and pure without any causes by humankind. So we are surrounded by nature where it always let us connect. They can even cherish and heal us physically and mentally.

For "Nature as Enlightenment" exhibition, represents the state of being aware and realized the true nature. An artist expresses his impression and the nature story through his sculpture, indicating an impact condition of a modern technology that has affected to the current plant growth and development by making those types of steels and stainless steels materials into several shapes in order to show the superficial beauty, and the imitation beauty and riches of nature. Moreover, the idea of significant shapes is to motivate the audiences in terms of awareness and diverse perspective on a typical art which was made of unnatural substances; meanwhile it could excite the aesthetic sensation of viewers that different from the reality. It is the beauty with full of the happiness and impression but covertly influenced audiences to question on another aspect of this art that artist had created.

นิทรรศการ “ธรรมชาติและการรู้แจ้ง Nature As Enlightenment” โดย ศิลปิน สุรชัย ดอนประศรี ศิลปินผู้นำเสนอผลงานในรูปแบบประติมากรรรม ด้วยเรื่องราวของธรรมชาติที่มนุษย์สามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากธรรมชาติเหล่านั้นได้อย่างไม่สิ้นสุด ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติทุกสิ่งล้วนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสิ่งแวดล้อมที่สวยงามบนโลกนี้ ความงามที่ไม่ต้องปรุงเเต่ง และเป็นสิ่งที่มนุษย์ไม่อาจจะปฏิเสธถึงความงดงามนั้นได้ แต่ในขณะเดียวกัน มนุษย์กลับเป็นผู้ทำลายธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม อีกทั้งยังละเลยและไม่เห็นคุณค่าในทรัพยากรสำคัญที่กำเนิดขึ้นบนโลกใบนี้  

ใบไม้ทุกใบ ดอกไม้ทุกดอก ต้นไม้ทุกต้น ล้วนมีเอกลักษณ์ กลิ่นและรูปทรง ที่แตกต่างกัน ความน่าอัศจรรย์ของธรรมชาติล้วนเกิดจากความงามที่มิอาจคาดเดาได้ สิ่งเหล่านี้จึงเป็นสิ่งที่ชวนให้เกิดความอัศจรรย์ใจเมื่อได้พบเห็น นอกจากนี้ความงามในธรรมชาติเป็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นเอง เป็นความอุดมสมบูรณ์ที่ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นจากน้ำมือมนุษย์ ธรรมชาติที่อยู่รอบตัวเราเป็นสิ่งที่สามารถสัมผัสได้และ ช่วยทำให้เกิดความเพลิดเพลิน หล่อเลี้ยงให้มนุษย์ได้มีความสุขทั้งทางร่างกายและจิตใจ 

สำหรับนิทรรศการ "Nature As Enlightenment" เป็นการแสดงถึงภาวะการรับรู้และเข้าถึงความงามในธรรมชาติ ศิลปินนำความประทับใจและเรื่องราวที่เกิดจากธรรมชาติมาถ่ายทอดเป็นผลงานประติมากรรม แฝงนัยยะถึงบทบาทของเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการเจริญเติบโตของพืชในปัจจุบัน โดยการใช้วัสดุจำพวกเหล็กและสแตนเลสมาพัฒนาให้เกิดเป็นรูปทรง เพื่อสื่อถึงความงามในลักษณะการเลียนแบบจากรูปทรงในธรรมชาติ แสดงให้เห็นถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของพืช พร้อมทั้งแฝงแง่คิดในเรื่องรูปทรงที่มีนัยสำคัญ เพื่อกระตุ้นให้เกิดการรับรู้ กับมุมมองงานศิลปะที่แตกต่างจากต้นแบบเดิม เป็นการแสดงถึงของรูปทรงที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นจากวัสดุที่ไม่ได้มาจากธรรมชาติ แต่เป็นรูปทรงที่สามารถกระตุ้นให้เกิดอารมณ์สุนทรียะที่แตกต่างจากความเป็นจริง เป็นความงามที่ช่วยสร้างความสุขและความประทับใจ แต่แฝงไปด้วยแง่คิดที่ชวนให้เกิดความสงสัยในรูปทรงที่ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมา
