The Twelve Labours of Hercules เฮอร์คิวลิสกับภารกิจ 12 ประการ

The exhibition “The Twelve Labours of Hercules” of Nattiwut Choomanowat is the expression of the artist’s imagination and motivation. He use the image of a banana wearing a beret to represent himself that he is a sensitive and fragile person just like a banana’s skin that is bright yellow but fragile; a little scratch may destroy the whole skin and it will finally be rotten. It can be 

compared to the short life of the artist and sometimes the drawing of the artist were commented that as easy to draw as peeling a banana skin. 

One piece of artwork is not really easy the artist have to go through many things such as losing his sleeps, finding cost to create his artwork, and the pressure from his family. All those difficulties were held by only one person just like he is a man with super powers. It similar to Hercules who have to go through all the 12 missions but it is harder as an artist because artist has now super powers and it would be great if they had one like Hercules. Therefore, The Twelve Labours of Hercules were used as a metaphor of how hard it is being an artist.
Anyway, the physical and mental fatigue of the artist will be the factors to guaranteed that the artist have put so much effort and even his soul on it in order to create the artwork to reflects his emotion that actually he doesn’t want a lot of fame and money but he only wants to draw to express and fulfill the desire in his minds; even though it will be very tough but it is worth it. 
Nattiwut Choomanowat graduated Bachelor’s degree from Silpakorn University and now continue his studies on a Master Degree in Silpakorn University as well. He was the part of many exhibitions in famous place such as The Ratchadamnern contemporary art museum, Central  world, and many more places around Bangkok.

นิทรรศการ “เฮอร์คิวลิสกับภารกิจ 12 ประการ The Twelve Labours of Hercules” ผลงานจิตรกรรมของศิลปินณัฐิวุฒิ  ชูมะโนวัฒน์ ชุดนี้เป็นการบันทึกและถ่ายทอดเหตุการณ์เบื้องหลังงานจิตรกรรมของจิตรกร ศิลปินเลือกใช้กล้วยสวมหมวกไบเลย์เป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนตัวตนของศิลปิน ที่มีอารมณ์อ่อนไหวเหมือนผิวของเปลือกกล้วยที่เหลืองสดใสแต่อ่อนไหวง่าย เมื่อถูกขีดข่วนเพียงเล็กน้อยก็ช้ำเป็นรอยและแห้งเหี่ยวอย่างรวดเร็ว ดั่งชีวิตที่สั้นนักของคนทำงานศิลปะ และการวาดภาพซักภาพของจิตรกรก็มักถูกมองว่าเป็นเรื่องง่ายๆ "ง่ายเหมือนปลอกกล้วยเข้าปาก"
หนึ่งภาพผลงานจิตรกรรมที่ถูกผลิตจนเสร็จสมบูรณ์ได้นั้นศิลปินต้องฝ่าฟันอะไรมาบ้าง ต้องอดหลับอดนอน หาต้นทุนการทำงานทั้งแรงกดดันจากทางบ้านและสังคม ความยากลำบากทั้งหมดถูกคนๆ หนึ่งแบกรับไว้ราวกับมีพลังมหาศาลเหนือมนุษย์  เสมือนการแบกรับภารกิจที่ยากเย็นแสนเข็นราวกับเฮอร์คิวลิสที่ต้องฝ่าฟันภารกิจ 12 ประการ เหตุใดการจะเป็นศิลปินมันยากเย็นนัก หากมีพลังเหนือมนุษย์อย่างเฮอร์คิวลิสได้คงจะดี  
ความยากลำบากของภารกิจ 12 ประการของเฮอร์คิวลิสจึงถูกนำมาซ้อนทับเพื่ออุปมาอุปมัยถึงความยากลำบากของการจะเป็นศิลปิน อย่างไรก็ตามความเหนื่อยล้าทางกายและใจเป็นหลักฐานยืนยันว่าการทำงานศิลปะนั้นต้องทุ่มเทแรงกายแรงใจและสติปัญญาอย่างมาก เพื่อสร้างสิ่งสะท้อนออกมาจากส่วนลึกของแรงปรารถนาภายในจิตใจ ให้ก่อเกิดเป็นผลงานซึ่งเผยให้เห็นถึงความสะเทือนอารมณ์จากทัศนคติของศิลปิน 
แท้จริงแล้วศิลปินไม่ต้องการเงินทองมากมายหรือชื่อเสียงใดๆ หากแต่เพียงต้องการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานเพื่อปลดปล่อยแรงปรารถนาภายในจิตใจ สำหรับจิตรกรแล้วนั้นถึงแม้จะเหนื่อยแต่คุ้มค่ากับสุขที่แลกมาเสมอ
ณัฐิวุฒิ  ชูมะโนวัฒน์ จบปริญญาตรีจากมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ปัจจุบันกำลังศึกษาปริญญาโท มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรด้วยเช่นกัน และได้เข้าร่วมแสดงงานมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ค่ายเยาวชนสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยครั้งที่ ๘  ประจำปี ๒๕๖๐ ณ หอศิลป์ร่วมสมัยราชดำเนินกรุงเทพฯ, ร้อยภาพ ร้อยดวงใจ น้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ ณ เซ็นทรัลเวิลด์ กรุงเทพฯ และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย
