Alongkorn Lauwatthana

Alongkorn Lauwatthana’s practice explores the relationship between humanity, culture, and a society in transition. Drawing upon portraiture, cultural narratives, and symbolic imagery, he reinterprets elements rooted in tradition through a contemporary visual language.

Ornamentation, layered compositions, vivid colours, and the use of gold establish a dialogue between historical memory and present-day experience. Rather than approaching tradition as something fixed, his works consider it a living space in which the past and present continually encounter, negotiate with, and reshape one another.

Through densely constructed imagery, Lauwatthana reflects upon cultural identity, coexistence, and the search for equilibrium among humanity, nature, and the social structures that shape collective life.

ผลงานของอลงกรณ์ หล่อวัฒนา สำรวจความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์ วัฒนธรรม และสังคมที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลง ผ่านการนำภาพบุคคล เรื่องเล่าทางวัฒนธรรม และภาพสัญลักษณ์ มาตีความองค์ประกอบที่มีรากฐานจากประเพณีขึ้นใหม่ด้วยภาษาทัศนศิลป์ร่วมสมัย ลวดลาย การซ้อนทับขององค์ประกอบ สีสันที่เด่นชัด และการใช้สีทอง ก่อให้เกิดบทสนทนาระหว่างความทรงจำทางประวัติศาสตร์กับประสบการณ์ของโลกปัจจุบัน แทนที่จะมองประเพณีในฐานะสิ่งที่หยุดนิ่ง ผลงานของเขากลับมองประเพณีเป็นพื้นที่ที่อดีตและปัจจุบันยังคงพบปะ เจรจา และปรับเปลี่ยนความหมายของกันและกันอยู่เสมอ
