Jintana Piamsiri (b. 1966)

 

Jintana Piamsiri’s artistic practice explores the atmosphere of rural Thai life through memories of nature, women, local communities, and the rhythms of everyday experience. Her paintings transform familiar subjects—flowers, birds, human figures, landscapes, and spiritual imagery—into poetic reflections on belonging, cultural identity, and the changing relationship between countryside and city.

 

Working across acrylic, pastel, and mixed media, including coloured paper on canvas, Piamsiri combines delicate lines, translucent layers, and restrained yet expressive colours. Natural forms are often simplified, fragmented, or suspended within open pictorial spaces, allowing observed reality to merge with personal memory and imagination. Light, colour, and organic movement become emotional elements rather than merely descriptive details.

 

Her works presented through Number 1 Gallery reveal a visual language that is gentle yet contemplative. Images such as peacock flowers, rural figures, and shifting landscapes serve as quiet records of lived experience, preserving traces of place and tradition while acknowledging that both nature and cultural memory remain subject to continual change.

 จินตนา เปี่ยมศิริ สร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่สำรวจบรรยากาศของวิถีชนบทไทยผ่านความทรงจำเกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติ ผู้หญิง ชุมชนท้องถิ่น และจังหวะของชีวิตประจำวัน ภาพดอกไม้ นก บุคคล ภูมิทัศน์ และสัญลักษณ์ทางจิตวิญญาณที่คุ้นเคย ถูกถ่ายทอดขึ้นใหม่ในฐานะบทพิจารณาเชิงกวีว่าด้วยความผูกพัน อัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรม และความสัมพันธ์ที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงระหว่างชนบทกับเมือง

 

ศิลปินทำงานด้วยสีอะคริลิก พาสเทล และสื่อผสม รวมถึงการใช้กระดาษสีบนผ้าใบ โดยผสานเส้นสายอันละเอียดอ่อน ชั้นสีโปร่งบาง และชุดสีที่สงบนุ่มนวลแต่เปี่ยมด้วยอารมณ์ รูปทรงจากธรรมชาติมักถูกลดทอน แยกส่วน หรือลอยอยู่ภายในพื้นที่ว่าง ทำให้ภาพจากความเป็นจริงค่อย ๆ หลอมรวมเข้ากับความทรงจำและจินตนาการ แสง สี และการเคลื่อนไหวของรูปทรงอินทรีย์จึงทำหน้าที่ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกมากกว่าการบรรยายสิ่งที่มองเห็นเพียงอย่างเดียว

 

ผลงานของเธอที่นำเสนอผ่าน Number 1 Gallery เผยให้เห็นภาษาทัศนศิลป์ที่อ่อนโยนและชวนใคร่ครวญ ภาพดอกหางนกยูง บุคคลในชนบท และภูมิทัศน์ที่แปรเปลี่ยน ทำหน้าที่เสมือนบันทึกอันเงียบงันของประสบการณ์ชีวิต เก็บรักษาร่องรอยของสถานที่และขนบวัฒนธรรม พร้อมตระหนักว่าทั้งธรรมชาติและความทรงจำทางวัฒนธรรมล้วนดำรงอยู่ท่ามกลางความเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างต่อเนื่อง
