Kathwut Pollasup

Kathwut Pollasup explores time and continual transformation through atmospheric fields of colour, fluid forms, and traces of movement. Originating in his observation of clouds and the changing sky, his paintings gradually move beyond direct representation toward an abstract language in which forms appear, dissolve, and reorganise themselves across open pictorial space.

Balancing deliberate gestures with unforeseen occurrences, Pollasup approaches painting as a process of release and discovery. In Relatively Extended, presented at Number 1 Gallery in 2013, layered colour and drifting forms create environments suspended between matter and atmosphere, inviting viewers to encounter change as an experience without a fixed beginning or end.

คฑาวุธ พลทรัพย์ สำรวจเวลาและความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ดำเนินไปอย่างไม่หยุดนิ่ง ผ่านสนามสี รูปทรงอิสระ และร่องรอยของความเคลื่อนไหว จากการสังเกตก้อนเมฆและท้องฟ้าที่แปรเปลี่ยน ผลงานของเขาค่อย ๆ เคลื่อนพ้นจากการเลียนแบบสิ่งที่มองเห็น ไปสู่ภาษานามธรรมที่รูปทรงปรากฏ เลือนหาย และจัดระเบียบตนเองขึ้นใหม่บนพื้นที่ว่าง

ศิลปินสร้างสมดุลระหว่างการควบคุมกับสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นโดยไม่คาดหมาย โดยมองการวาดภาพเป็นกระบวนการของการปล่อยวางและค้นพบ ในนิทรรศการ Relatively Extended ซึ่งจัดแสดง ณ Number 1 Gallery ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 ชั้นสีและรูปทรงที่ล่องไหลก่อให้เกิดพื้นที่ระหว่างสสารกับบรรยากาศ ชวนให้ผู้ชมสัมผัสความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ไม่มีจุดเริ่มต้นหรือจุดสิ้นสุดตายตัว
