SAENCHUN (b. 1965)
Phanthong
Saenchun creates paintings rooted in Buddhist faith and the artistic heritage
of Northern Thailand. Drawing from the sculptural forms of ancient Buddha
images, particularly those associated with Chiang Saen, he transforms sacred
figures into luminous, contemplative presences.
Through
layered acrylic colours, jewel-like light, and close attention to facial
expression, Saenchun reveals serenity, compassion, and subtle human emotion
within the image of the Buddha. His works connect Lanna spiritual traditions
with a contemporary visual language, inviting quiet reflection on faith, inner
stillness, and the enduring presence of the sacred.

พานทอง แสนจันทร์ สร้างสรรค์จิตรกรรมที่มีรากฐานจากศรัทธาในพระพุทธศาสนาและมรดกทางศิลปะของภาคเหนือ โดยนำรูปทรงจากพระพุทธรูปโบราณ โดยเฉพาะศิลปะเชียงแสน มาตีความให้กลายเป็นภาพศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่เปล่งประกายและชวนให้เกิดสมาธิ
ผ่านชั้นสีอะคริลิก แสงคล้ายอัญมณี และการถ่ายทอดสีพระพักตร์อย่างละเอียด เขาเผยให้เห็นความสงบ ความเมตตา และอารมณ์อันละเอียดอ่อนภายในพุทธปฏิมา ผลงานเชื่อมโยงจิตวิญญาณล้านนาเข้ากับภาษาทางศิลปะร่วมสมัย เชื้อเชิญให้ผู้ชมใคร่ครวญถึงศรัทธา ความสงบนิ่งภายใน และการดำรงอยู่ของสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์
