Apart but Together

“Apart but Together” exhibition by Suwannee Sarakana, an artist who expresses tender love and care of a family through the paint brushes and canvas. “Apart but Together” exhibition is related to the current situation from another perspective of artist, which she represented a point of view of a mother, the intimacy of a family, love expression and the distance. In fact, the remoteness is unable to diminish care and love of a family, in particular the love of a mother to a child. The more the condition gets worse the more love and care of a mother gets increased. A significant love and a protective embrace of a mother’s arm would always be there and comfort her child whenever the difficulty comes.

“Apart but Together” exhibition by Suwannee Sarakana will be exhibiting at Number1Gallery. This artwork series the artist expresses happiness through her imaginative world with peace and love. She particularly emphasizes the sign that indicates beauty, liveliness and softness. For example, “Young Mermaid I” and “Young Mermaid ll” works, which signifies the purity of the youth, the world that full of joy and the discovery. They are happy because they are innocent where they have no idea about the danger that hidden in the darkness around them. For “Safe Child I” and “Safe Child ll” works presented a mother protecting her child. A mother will always be supporting and taking care of her child no matter how bad the situation is.

Suwannee Sarakana, an artist from Ubon Ratchathani province. She graduated bachelor and master degrees at the faculty of painting, sculpture and graphic, Silpakorn University. She had received awards in various contests as well as participating a solo and group exhibitions. For her latest solo exhibition was “Holding onto Joy” with Number1Gallery, “ART ROTATION: Blissful Dream” at 137 Pillars suites & Residences Bangkok 2019, “Arms of Mother” at Art Bridge Chiang Rai Thailand, 2018 and ‘DIVAS’ Women’s Day group exhibition at River City Bangkok, 2018, “UOB Art Space” and “Art stage Expo Malaysia” 2019.

นิทรรศการ Apart but together โดย สุวรรณี สารคณา ศิลปินผู้ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวอันแสนอบอุ่นของความรัก ความเป็นครอบครัวผ่านปลายพู่กันและผืนผ้าใบ นิทรรศการ  Apart but together ในครั้งนี้เป็นเรื่องราวในอีกแง่มุมหนึ่งจากสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน ศิลปินถ่ายทอดภาพผลงานในมุมมองของความเป็นแม่ จากความใกล้ชิดภายในครอบครัว การแสดงความรัก และระยะห่างที่เกิดขึ้น หากแต่ความห่างนั้นไม่ได้ทำให้ความรู้สึกความผูกพันของครอบครัวและความรักที่มีต่อคนรอบตัวห่างเหินไปด้วย โดยเฉพาะความผูกพันของแม่ลูกด้วยแล้ว ยิ่งมีเหตุการณ์ที่เลวร้ายหรือภัยอันตรายใดๆ รอบตัวมากเท่าไร ความรักความห่วงใยที่แม่มีต่อลูกจะเพิ่มทวีคูณยิ่งขึ้น ความพยายามปกป้องลูกด้วยอ้อมแขนของแม่ จะคอยปลอบประโลมให้ลูกไม่ให้ตื่นตระหนกกับเรื่องร้ายๆ ที่เข้ามาคุกคาม

สำหรับนิทรรศการ Apart but together โดย สุวรรณี สารคณา จัดโดยนัมเบอร์วันแกลลอรี่ ในนิทรรศการชุดนี้ศิลปินได้ ถ่ายทอดช่วงเวลาแห่งความสุขผ่านโลกในจินตนาการของตนเองที่แวดล้อมไปด้วยความสงบ และความรัก  ศิลปินเลือกใช้สัญญะที่สื่อถึงความสวยงาม สดใสและบอบบาง อาธิเช่นผลงานชิ้น Young Mermaid I และ Young Mermaid II ที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงความบริสุทธิ์ของเด็กๆ มักจะเห็นโลกสดใสน่าสนใจเสมอ เขามีช่วงเวลาแห่งความสุขนี้เพราะเขาไร้เดียงสาเขาจะมองข้ามอันตรายรอบๆ ตัวที่มักซ่อนอยู่ในความมืด และชิ้น Safe Child I และ Safe Child II เมื่อเกิดเหตุการณ์ใดๆ อันที่จะเป็นภัยหรือคุกคามลูกน้อย แม่จะคอยประคองกอดและปกป้องลูกให้คลายกังวล ปลอดภัยและรู้สึกดี 

สุวรรณี สารคณา ศิลปินจากอุบลราชธานี จบศึกษาในระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโท ณ คณะจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรม และภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลยัศิลปากร ได้รับรางวัลในเวทีต่างต่างๆมากมาย  ยังได้แสดงนิทรรศการทั้งดี่ยวและกลุ่มมากมาย และในล่าสุดได้แสดงนิทรรศการเดี่ยว ในชื่อว่า Holding onto Joy กับนัมเบอร์วันแกลลอรี่, ART ROTATION :  Blissful Dream at 137 Pillars suites & Residences Bangkok 2019, Arms of Mother at Art Bridge Chiang Rai Thailand, 2018, และนิทรรศการกลุ่ม ‘DIVAS’ Women’s Day at River City Bangkok, 2018, UOB Art Space and Art Stage at Expo & Convention Center, Singapore 2018 และ Art Expo Malaysia 2019
