“Fake-Work” by Prawit Lumjalurn

Continuous and consistent advancement of technology and knowledge makes this age become the ‘Material Age’ in which people indulge into materials and new things. This affects their ‘ways of lives’ in the negative way. People lose prudence and ethicality, so they cannot properly handle their greed, anger and lust. It can be said that the world is facing with a worrisome permanent crisis. Even though materials have roles in people’s lives, deep in their hearts, they need peace and tranquility. If they use their wisdom and intellectual, they will know ways to solve this crisis. The true happiness comes with a peaceful mind. This makes one a perfect human being.
“Fake-Work” is an art work that depicts the current situation of the society in which people are under the influences of illusions which guide their lives. This work is a visual art work (painting) that reflects the idea and concept stated here.
“Fake-Work” is the first completely solo exhibition of Prawit Lumjalurn .He was born at Surathani Province ,graduated from BFA. of Rattanakosin Rajamangala University of Technology, Poh Chang Campus and now MFA. At Silpakorn University
He is got many Prizes such Top Prize from 5th Arts by Southern Young Artists ,Special Prize from 24th Toshiba Art Contest , 2nd Runner-Up Prize from 15th Panasonic Contemporary Art Contest and Fund for Art Creation by General Prem Tinsulanonda Statesman Foundation
