The Lights of Remembrance

The exhibition "The Lights of Remembrance” by Ekasit Rayubsang is the continuation exhibition of “The Lights of Faith” The artist create this set of artworks to convey his feelings of loyalty and commemorate the endless royal grace of his majesty the King Rama IX. The artist chose to use the line drawing technique by using a pencil to write the light on the black surface in order to show the artist's effort in creating works to represent

the things that hold the mind.

"While I was painting the King, I thought of him all the time. I think of the images of various things that he has done and it's making me feel like he is always with us. The good thoughts and kindness is like a light shining in our hearts in a dark time when we lost all the faith from people and it let us know that there are still good people in this world."

For the artist, King Rama IX is a representative of goodness. When we think of him, we will think about kindness and it will cheer us up when we felt discouraged and remind us when we are lost.  He was like a shining light in the dark days of the people. He is the candle light that triumphs in everyone's heart just like an exhibition’s name "The Lights of Remembrance” and that light will guide and be with the people of Thailand forever.

Ekasit Rayubsang graduated from Burapha University. The artist has exhibited works in an exhibition showing countless allegiance to the monarchy, including an exhibition of paintings celebrating 120 years of His Majesty King Prajadhipok on the topic "Dharma King: Who Brings Happiness to the People” as well as the exhibition "Artists of Fine Arts". He also won the 1st “Petch Yod Mongkut” contest and many more.

นิทรรศการ “The Lights of Remembrance แสงแห่งความทรงจำ” โดย เอกสิทธิ์ ระยับแสง เป็นนิทรรศการสืบเนื่องต่อจากนิทรรศการ “The Lights of Faith แสงแห่งศรัทรา” ในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน เพื่อถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกจงรักภักดี และระลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันหาที่สุดมิได้ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 9 ศิลปินเลือกใช้เทคนิควาดเส้น โดยการใช้ดินสอไขเขียนแสงลงบนพื้นดำ แสดงถึงความเพียรพยายามของศิลปินในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนถึงสิ่งที่คอยยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจ

“ในระหว่างที่ผมวาดรูปพระองค์ท่านผมนึกถึงท่านตลอดเวลา นึกถึงภาพต่างๆ นึกถึงสิ่งต่างๆ ที่ท่านทำ ทำให้รู้สึกว่าท่านยังอยู่กับเราตลอด ที่การเราคิดดีทำดีนั้นเปรียบดังแสงที่คอยส่องใจเราในเวลาที่มืดมน เวลาหมดศรัทธาในความดี ทำให้เรารู้ว่าโลกนี้ยังมีคนดีอยู่จริง”

สำหรับศิลปินแล้ว ในหลวงรัชกาลที่๙ คือตัวแทนของความดีงาม เมื่อระลึกถึงพระองค์ จะนึกถึงการทำความดี เป็นกำลังใจในยามท้อ และคอยเตือนจิตใจในยามที่หลงผิด พระองค์เปรียบประหนึ่งแสงส่องทางในวันที่มืดมนของประชาชน ทรงเป็นแสงเทียนนำชัยในดวงใจของทวยราษฎร์ทุกคน ดั่งชื่อนิทรรศการ “แสงแห่งความทรงจำ” แสงนำทางชีวิตที่จะอยู่กับปวงชนชาวไทยตลอดไป 

เอกสิทธิ์ ระยับแสง จบการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา ศิลปินได้ร่วมแสดงผลงานในนิทรรศการที่แสดงถึงการจงรักภักดีต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์มานับไม่ถ้วน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น นิทรรศการจิตรกรรมเฉลิมฉลอง 120 ปี พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาประชาธิปกฯ พระปกเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว  ในหัวข้อ “ธรรมราชา : ผู้ทรงทำให้ประชาชนเป็นสุขโดยธรร, นิทรรศการ “อัครศิลปิน ศิลปกรรมศาสตร์” นอกจากนี้ยังได้รับรางวัลในโครงการประกวดงานจิตรกรรมเพชรยอดมงกุฎครั้งที่ 1 ในหัวข้อ “อารยธรรมเส้นทางสายไหมทางทะเล” และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย
