is pleased to present the exhibition
“The spirit of six” with group of 6 emerging Thai contemporary artists
included Boonhlue Yangsauy, Tewaporn
Maikongkaew, Kittisak Thapkoa, Pat Yingcharoen, Phadungsak Kaewpong,
Nattiwut Choomanowat that have established both Thai and
International such Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. The exhibition
explores the theme of their individual experienced reflects nowadays society.
Boonhlue Yangsauy mentioned about bedtime stories that parent
tell it to their child from time to time that those stories are not reasonable.
Because, it is very odd to let the child go in the jungle alone even though we
knew that it is very dangerous to do so. Therefore, the artist is trying to
change the storyline to invent the new solution to the story to eliminate all
the question about the reason of the story. and the cycle of exploiting,
misleading, and tricking of the ruling class and the minion to the citizens which
do not have any choice just like the situation of Thai society which can be
compared to "The frog prince desiring a boss".
Tewaporn Maikongkaew present the atmosphere of the decadence in the new world makes
people fighting each other to get what they wanted. The desired to be an
authority in the society turned them
into a selfish person. The person with more authority will oppress the person
who stands below them. These things definitely create the decadence of the society,
therefore people are wish to have a better life even though it is the hope that
is unreal.
Kittisak Thapkoa today’s
society have changed rapidly and result as a dramatically developed world.
However, human’s behavior are going vice-versa. Their behavior decays more and
more in everyday and thus, create sadness inside them. They lost in their
desire and lost in the unreal thing. The artist then use the teachings of the
Buddha to express on his artwork to remind people the importance of making
merit and finding peace in yourself in order to stay away from sadness.
Pat Yingcharoen is the telling of the story from the past, the
events in history to reflect the present through the point of view of the
artist by using the “image” from the past including photos, artworks, prints,
and etc. Then he recreating it with the process of art by adding, taking away,
or put them all together.
Phadungsak Kheawpong human life through history and human behavior.
By communicating through the look of traditional painting with the style of
Baroque-Rococo painting.There is a narrative in terms of expression similar to
the play, which is interpreted through the concept of presentation techniques
used by people, animals, objects in the context in which define the story. It
is based on the complex human society, the social order through social
structure with historical heritage such as politics, culture, tradition, etc.
Art work of Nattiwut Choomanowat is the expression
of the artist’s imagination and motivation. He use the image of a banana
wearing a beret to represent himself present by Artemis
was considered to be the god of hunting and he
always working hard and hope that one day there will be a collector to admire
and buy his artwork eventually.
นิทรรศการ "The spirit of six" เป็นการรวมตัวของ6 ศิลปิน ได้เเก่
พัทธ์ ยิ่งเจริญ,ผดุงศักดิ์ เขียวผ่อง บุญเหลือ ยางสวย, เทวพร ใหม่คงแก้ว, กิตติศักดิ์ เทพเกาะ และณัฐิวุฒิ ชูมะโนวัฒน์ ที่มีการสร้างสรรค์อย่างต่อเนื่อง
ได้รับการตอบรับทั้งในไทยเเละต่างประเทศ ร่วมถ่ายทอดจิตวิญญาณของแต่ละท่าน
ผ่านภาพผลงานจิตรกรรม แม้ว่าจะมีเอกลักษณ์ บุคลิก และมุมมองของแต่ละคนที่แตกต่างกันไป
บุญเหลือ ยางสวย ศิลปินกล่าวถึงนิทานก่อนนอนทีมีไว้เล่าให้เด็กฟัง ที่แฝงไปด้วยความไม่สมเหตุสมผล ศิลปินจึงบิดเบือนเนื้อหาให้มีทางออกใหม่ๆ เพื่อให้เกิดการคิดนอกกรอบที่ต่างจากเรื่องเดิม
ซ้ำๆ ต่อๆกันมาโดยไม่มีการตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวนั้น และวัฏจักรของการเอาเปรียบ
หลอกลวง เล่ห์เหลี่ยม ของชนชั้นปกครอง เเละเหล่าสมุน
กับประชากรด้อยคุณภาพที่ทางเลือกช่างมืดมน...เปรียบเปรยจากสภาวะของสังคมไทยกับนิทานเจ้าชายกบเลือกนาย
เทวพร ใหม่คงแก้ว นำเสนอเรื่องราวบรรยากาศความเสื่อมในของโลกวัตถุทำให้เกิดการดิ้นรนการคาดหวังหรือไขว่คว้าสิ่งต่างๆจากโลกปัจจุบันล้วนมีปัจจัยหลายๆอย่างที่บีบบังคับให้ความเป็นคนลดน้อยถอยลงไปทุกขณะ
จึงทำให้เกิดความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคมอย่างเห็นได้ชัดการไขว่คว้าเพื่อให้ชีวิตดีขึ้นจึงเกิดขึ้นกับบุคลเหล่านั้น
แม้บางครั้งจะเป็นความหวังอันมืดมนก็ตาม
กิตติศักดิ์ เทพเกาะ สังคมในปัจจุบันเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็ว
เกิดเป็นความเจริญก้าวหน้าแต่ในเรื่องของพฤติกรรมมนุษย์กลับเกิดความเสื่อมมากขึ้น
ทุกวันๆ จนเกิดความทุข์ ความลุ่มหลงในกิเลส เพื่อที่จะให้มนุษย์ได้ตระหนัก
เห็นถึงความสำคัญของการสร้างความดี มองเห็นความสุขและมุ่งไปสู่หนทางแห่งการดับทุกข์
พัทธ์ ยิ่งเจริญ บอกเล่าเรื่องราวในอดีต
เหตุการณ์ทางประวัติศาสตร์เพื่อเป็นกระจกสะท้อนมาสู่ปัจจุบัน ผ่านทัศนะของตัวศิลปิน โดยการหยิบยืม “ภาพ” ในอดีต
ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาพถ่าย ภาพเขียน ภาพพิมพ์ ฯลฯ
แล้วนำมาสร้างขึ้นใหม่ด้วยกระบวนการทางจิตรกรรม โดยการเพิ่มเติม ลดทอน
หรือประกอบภาพเหล่านั้นเข้าด้วยกัน
ผดุงศักดิ์ เขียวผ่อง การดำเนินชีวิตของมนุษย์ ผ่านประวัติศาสตร์และพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์
โดยสื่อสารผ่านรูปลักษณ์ของงานจิตรกรรมแบบดั้งเดิมที่มีลักษณะรูปแบบของจิตรกรมยุคบาโรก-ร็อกโคโค
มีการเล่าเรื่องในลักษณะของการแสดงออกมาคล้ายคลึงกับละครเวทีซึ่งมีการตีความผ่านแนวคิดโดยเทคนิคการนำเสนอใช้การแสดงของตัวละครให้อยู่ในบริบทที่กำหนดเรื่องราวขึ้น
ซึ่งมีพื้นฐานมาจากสังคมมนุษย์ที่มีความซับซ้อนมีการจัดระเบียบสังคมผ่านโครงสร้างทางสังคมที่มีมรดกทางประวัติศาสตร์เช่น
การเมือง วัฒนธรรม ประเพณี จารีตเป็นต้น
ผลงานของ ณัฐิวุฒิ ชูมะโนวัฒน์ เป็นการบันทึกและการถ่ายทอดเหตุการณ์เบื้องหลังงานจิตรกรรมของจิตรกร
เลือกใช้กล้วยสวมหมวกไบเลย์เป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนศิลปินนำเสนอเรื่องราวผ่านตัวละครตำนานเทพเจ้าต่างๆ
และสำหรับในนิทรรศการนี้ได้หยิบยกเรื่องราวของ Artemis เทพเจ้าแห่งการล่าสัตว์
และ นิทานปรำปรา
เปรียบเหมือนศิลปินที่ต้นทุนไกล้หมดแต่ยังมีศรัทธาไม่ยอมหยุดทำงานจนเป็นที่ยอมรับ
