“Under My Skin” art exhibition is the latest collection of paintings by Opal –Krissadank  Intasorn that were created by his motivation of his memories with the media such as the classic Disney’s cartoons or animations, horror movies, and even fantasy sci-fi movies like Star Wars and Jurassic Park which were the artist’s favorite since he was young. All those media still keep on playing the impressive scenes inside his head just like a tattoo long lasting underneath the skin and always influence him new idea to create more new artworks. “Under my skin” is still a mention of his versatile personalities and the self-opened into “Opal’s world” the 2D world that intensely explain the true self of Opal which is a mixtures between the Lanna style painting as his origin and Pop culture. He created his own style by these parallel cultures to a brand new hybrid art called “Pop-Lanna Art” which has a very shining style of its own. “Under my Skin” once you see it, the taste of its art experience will never forget.

Krissadank  Intasorn (Opal) is an artist from Chiang Rai, Thailand. He graduated with MFA (Visual Arts in Painting) from Silpakorn University in Thailand and is currently pursuing PhD (Visual Arts) at the same place. He deals with the subject of an independent-spirited homosexual living among Lanna society in Thailand. Societal values have been set inplace by beliefs, faith and mythology passed on over long period of time. He expresses his wrath against old culture and rules decisively through his paintings using many mediums such as Sa paper, wood and including mixed media. While his works bring to mind traces of historical Lanna culture, the use of traditional techniques is at odd with the thinking of a new generation. His new series of artworks become more Pop style by colors and the influence of Pop culture nowadays.

Krissadank has participated in numerous group exhibitions frequently at national level, notably The 58th National Exhibition of Art and The 23rd Toshiba: Bring Good Things to Life Art Competition in Thailand Museum - National Gallery, Bangkok as well as shown overseas with gallery in Vietnam. He won many awards such as Second Prize in Semi-traditional Thai Painting 
at The 34th Bua Luang Paintings Exhibition 2012, Award winner for The 2nd Asia Plus Art Exhibition 2012 and The 28th Exhibition of Contemporary Art by Young Artists on the Occasion of Silpa Bhirasri Day 2011. He has received several scholarships including one from General Prem Tinsulanonda Statesman Foundation 2012 and another to visit International art exhibition La Biennale Di Venezia in Venice, Italy 2011.

นิทรรศการ “Under my skin” โดย โอปอ กฤษฎางค์ อินทะสอน เป็นการกลับมาอีกครั้งกับการแสดงเดี่ยวครั้งที่ 5 กับนัมเบอร์วันแกลเลอรี่ หากจะเอ่ยถึงที่มาของผลงานศิลปะหลากหลายชิ้นบนโลกใบนี้คงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าแทบทุกชิ้นนั้นถูกสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นจากแรงสะเทือนใจจากสิ่งเร้ารอบตัวของศิลปินที่ต่างกันออกไป ในครั้งนี้ก็เช่นกัน

นิทรรศการ “Under my skin” เป็นการรวบรวมผลงานจิตรกรรมของ “โอปอ” กฤษฎางค์ อินทะสอน ที่สร้างขึ้นจากแรงบันดาลใจในความทรงจำที่มีต่อสื่อ (Media) ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนคลาสสิค วอลต์ดิสนีย์และอะนิเมะภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญจากยุคต่างๆ หรือแม้แต่ภาพยนตร์แนวแฟนตาซีไซฟายอย่างสตาร์ วอร์สและจูราสสิคพาร์คที่ศิลปินชื่นชอบและผูกพันตั้งแต่วัยเด็ก สื่อเหล่านี้ยังคงฉายภาพซ้ำฉากต่างๆ ที่น่าประทับใจในหัวของศิลปินอยู่ตลอดเวลาดังเช่นรอยสักที่ติดตรึงฝังลึกภายใต้ผิวหนัง และมันทำให้เขามีพลังคิดสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชิ้นใหม่ๆ อยู่เสมอ ผลงานของโอปอชุดนี้ยังคงพูดถึงตัวตนที่หลากหลายและไม่หยุดนิ่งของเขา รวมไปถึงการพูดเรื่องเพศที่ลื่นไหลของเขาเองอย่างเปิดเผยใน “โลกของโอปอ” (Opal’s world) ด้วยรูปแบบจิตรกรรม 2 มิติที่อธิบายความเป็นโอปออย่างเข้มข้นของการเป็น “ศิลปะลูกผสม” (Hybrid art) ระหว่างเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของ “จิตรกรรมพื้นบ้านล้านนา” (Lanna style painting) อันเป็นชาติพันธุ์กับ “วัฒนธรรมป๊อป” (Pop culture) ที่ถูกหล่อหลอมผ่านสื่อจนได้
ออกมาเป็นผลงานจิตรกรรม “ป๊อปล้านนา” (Pop-Lanna) อย่างลงตัวทั้งยังมีอัตลักษณ์โดดเด่นเฉพาะตัว นิทรรศการ “Under my skin” จึงเป็นอีกความท้าทายทางรสชาติแห่งการสัมผัสประสบการณ์ศิลปะที่ยากจะลืมเลือน

กฤษฎางค์ อินทะสอน ศิลปินจากจังหวัดเชียงรายจบการศึกษาปริญญาตรีคณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ปริญญาโท คณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ปัจจุบันกำลังศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอกในคณะและมหาวิทยาลัยเดียวกัน ศิลปินยังเคยได้เข้าร่วมแสดงนิทรรศการต่างๆ ทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศมากมายและได้รับการคัดเลือกให้ไปศึกษาดูงานศิลปะนิทรรศการเวนิสเบียนนาเล่ ครั้งที่ 54 ทั้งยังเป็นตัวแทนนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างคณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่กับ The college of arts, Hue University ประเทศเวียดนามและมีผลงานแสดงนิทรรศการเดี่ยวที่ ION ART GALLERY ประเทศสิงคโปร์ ในปี 2016 อีกด้วย
